All Recruiters Can Bite Me

I really don't mean to offend anyone out there so excuse me if I use any swear words. I'm just so upset right now and I just want to vent so I can move on.

So, I decided to follow up with this recruiter that I've been working with on an interview that I went on yesterday. He told the feedback that the girl that I met with gave him and she liked me. However, she felt that I was too personable and that I might get bored during the actual position.

Thanks. First I have the problem of being too formal and not being personable enough. Now its the other way around. I consider myself to have pretty good professionalism. Much more than some people out there.

I absolutley cannot stand this process. I'm sitting here with tears rolling down my cheeks because I feel like I'm NEVER going to find a job in this city. I'm tired of people telling me that I'll find something soon. Soon, when is soon, six months from now?? My checking account is dwindling away, and so is my sanity. If another f---ing recruiter calls me and wants to meet with me than I'm just going to say what, so you can get me a few interviews, never follow up with me, or call me ever again, or better yet, never help me find a job.

It just pisses me off. I'd LOVE to meet ONE person who interviews perfectly. Who answers all of those damn questions with the supposed "right answer."

I dress professionally, I'm polite, I give honest answers, I'm smart, I work hard, and I'm sick and tired of getting screwed.

Ugh.

I feel your pain on this one too. Interviewing is the most frustrating thing in the world! How is it a bad thing to be personable??

Wow--that seems horrible. It sounds like everyone is being too choosy, like you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. It definitely isn't your fault. If they would rather have some silent dorky kid who was too unsociable to even speak to anyone instead of you, you don't want to work for them anyway.

I think you are right about jobs being like guys--when you finally get the right job (which you will) you'll be so glad those other places didn't hire you because if they had, you would never be able to be working in a place that you love.
