The people who know me very well know that I absolutley cannot stand people who are condescending. I've encountered a lot of them in my life and if I could turn back to those moments I'd give those people a piece of my mind. But I always feel like in the end its not worth it.
I just wonder if those people just wake up every day and tell themselves, "I think that I'll just be really condescending to everyone that I interact with."I guess this also goes along with I can't stand it when people can't handle being wrong about something because they think that they have all of the answers. Whatever.
So, anyway, in the wonderful world of sales I deal with people like that once in a while and its probably what I hate the most about sales. Especially phone sales when you deal with receptionists and admins who give you that "tone." I mean is that necessary?? Do you really think that you are better than me because your'e older and have more experience in the work world?? Did someone actually train you to speak to people that way?? Seriously, I want to know.
Actually, I could care less, I just really needed to vent.
So now ladies and gentlemen you have learned something new about me today.

I hate that too.
I second Jenny G. That really bothers me. My stepdad is very condescending to everyone, including me and always has been. This is why I hate him. He argued with me when I told him the price of gas here was $2.99 the other week and told me that wasn't true, even though he lives an hour and a half a way and wouldn't know. He just HAS to be a know-it-all about everything. People should definitely re-evaluate themselves before speaking.
I third Jenny G and I second BG.
I'm doing okay, thank you so much for asking. This week is a lot better than last. I hope all is well with you, too.
