Soo, let me get this straight...

Alright, in addition to sharing my "Political Profile" with you all, I thought I'd have a regular posting as well.

So, last night me and my friend Lauren got taken by a real estate agent to see some apartments. We looked at 3 apartments, and we both really liked the 2nd one. The heat and the parking was included in the rent which was pretty nice too. Even though the parking only matters for Lauren b/c I don't have a car. Here's thing w/this place though..According to the real estate agent, Kelli, her co-worker had shown the apt. to some guy last week, and he was coming back that night w/his roomate so he could see it and decide if he liked it too or not. So, Lauren asked Kelli "When do people usually sign a lease?" And she responds "If those guys really like that place, a lease will be signed tonight."

Whaatt??!!

I know that when me and my roomates in college were looking for a house to rent my senior year, we had one real estate agent who wanted us to sign a lease and give her a check for a security deposit and one months rent. We of course ended up saying no, and finding another house through another real estate agency. This girl last night made it sound like since we said no that we're NEVER going to find a place to live. Its like dude, this is Chicago, not Newport, Rhode Island. I have hope that we will find a place just as nice thats maybe not a block away from Wrigley Field. Hey, I like to go to games, and the bars down there, but I don't think that I could deal with the noise and the traffic in the summertime.

So that was some cancelled excitement. Followed by some really yummy Mexican food...Hehehe. That Kelli girl hates us probably b/c she didn't get her commission. Oh well.

Everyone, say a prayer or give me some hope that Lauren and I will find a great apartment for the price we want, and that I'll be employed by next month. Or by July 1st. Or my next damn birthday. That's in October, that woman from that interior design school should return my phone call by then. Hehe.

On a brighter note, Carrie and Bo will battle it out for the title of the next "American Idol" next week. And hopefully tonight Tana will become the next Apprentice!!
