What a Morning...
If there's one thing in about living in a big city that never gets boring is commuting or going some place during rush hour in the morning.
Today I had to go down to the Sears Tower for an interview which is a bit far from where I live even though I live downtown. Anyway, I checked online to see what bus or train I could take down there, and found a bus that stopped right down there.
So I'm on the bus enjoying the air conditioning when it didn't stop where I was supposed to get off. I was just like um, okay...So I just got off at the last stop and figured that I could just walk the rest b/c I wasn't that far away. I also figured since I could see the Sears Tower pretty closely, that it wasn't that far. Yeah, I was wrong.
I walked until I realized that I was now away from the Sears Tower and right by the Chicago Board of Trade. I then had to waste 5 dollars and take a cab down there.
Oh and it gets better...
I've never been to the Sears Tower before, and after having my back checked at security, I was looking around for the visitors' check in desk. I finally find it, of course the sign for it is so small! I then get my pass, and the guard lets me through to the elevator bank and I get on an elevator only to realize that the elevator I got on doesn't stop on the floor that I need to go to.
I felt so stupid. But I didn't think that it made a difference which elevator I got on. Someone should've pointed that out to me. Like they do where my Mom works so y ou can avoid getting on the wrong elevator.
But the interview went well and they said that they'd call me next week...I'm still waiting to hear back from the place that I interviewed at last week. The guy of course is out sick, AGAIN. My parents hope that he doesn't die on me. Nice. Real nice Mom and Dad!!! Hehe.
So, that was my morning...
Gotta love this city.... :-)

I'm so jealous. Seriously.
I'm jealous because you live in Chicago and get to take busses to the Sears Tower. You live in a huge city ... and I live in suburban CT. Not fair... I'd do just about anything to live there... ;)
I'm declaring this "Bad Luck Week." You're about the fifth person I've encountered (including myself) since Monday who has had really bad luck at least one day this week. Things can only improve from here, or so I keep telling myself.
You're still lucky to live in Chicago, though, where nothing is ever boring. :)
So, what is the position for? Do you feel good about it so far? :)
Thanks guys! :-)
