Its Gettin' Hot In Here

Okay, today is the first day of the Taste of Chicago and its going to be 97 degrees today. I remember when I first went when I came back from my study abroad and we had just moved here. It was really hot that day too....But there are going to be some good concerts there this year, and as always, some good food. Too bad its going to be SO hot this weekend..Its not really fun going to a crowded festival bumping into sweaty people. Ewww. However, after a few beers one starts to not care anymore.

For anyone who has no idea what I'm talking about, the Taste is held in Grant Park which is this huge park in Chicago where Buckingham fountain is. The imfamous fountain in the opening credits of "Married w/Children." You buy some tickets, which allow you to go around to booths and get a sample of food, or more. Pretty much every restaurant in the city is there. There's also lots of beer. I'm getting hungry thinking about it....

They also have concerts, and fireworks for the 4th. They also actually get famous people...I saw Counting Crows there last year for example.

So thats that about the Taste of Chicago. For those of you who don't know what it is.

Hopefully I will not get sunburned again this weekend. The itching has gotten better, but I can feel it starting to peel even though I've put lotion on it. Oh well...


I've been kicked out this weekend too b/c my parents have some friends visiting and they're staying in my room. My parents really should've gotten a 3 bedroom...But oh well. Lauren has been kind enough to give me shelter until Sunday. :-)
