Soo, I'm talking to Jessica on the phone today, and asked her about her blog entry...

Apparently the sales tax here is going up to 9% tomorrow, making it the highest in the country.

Just kidding, he's not stupid, but there are few things that do make him stupid. Like not putting more money into the public schools and building Millenium Park instead. The park is really pretty though. He's funny on TV though, always sounds like hes all fired up about something. And he has done a good job cleaning up the city. I will say that its very clean here.

The other thing is that they want to pass a law to ban smoking in restaurtants and bars. So far people are opposing the ban, but the mayor thinks that people should give it a chance. I frankly think that the man doesn't care.

I personally don't smoke, and the last time I was in NY it was very nice to be able to go out to a bar and not come home smelling like smoke. It bothers me more in the winter b/c I hate it when my coat smells. And even after I Febreeze it, I still smell it. Eww to that. I also got burned on my elbow last Saturday night by some guy standing at the bar smoking. While he was flirting with some girl. Good job dude.

Well, maybe I should go out and do some heavy shopping since tomorrow everything will cost more...

Just kidding. That would be a bad idea for me right now!!
