Chicago Transity Authority and Tranquility.

I have to say that I love living in a big city. Mostly everything is convientley located, its easy to get around, and something interesting always happens. Its never boring here. Except maybe some days during the winter because its so cold and windy, of course.

One of the things that I've enjoyed the most about living here is taking the bus or the train early in the morning to work.

When I lived in my old apartment my ride to work was about 40 minutes in the morning. The best thing was riding along Lake Shore Drive because you are literally driving along the lake. Lake Michigan is both very beautiful and peaceful early in the morning, and again at night just before the sun goes down. Everytime I look at it I forget about all of my worries, and think about all of the things that are the most important to me.

I used to wonder too if the other people riding on the bus appreciate the lake as much as I do. I grew up near the water, and my college was on the ocean, and I've just always wondered if anyone else in this city appreciates the beauty of the lake as much as I do.

Now that I live back downtown I miss my bus ride along Lake Shore Drive. My commute is only 15 minutes on the bus, and the only water I get to see is the Chicago River.

However, the entertainment on the bus is always there. Those who live here know what I'm talking about.

So, in conclusion I would like to thank the CTA for providing me with tranquility in the morning, and humorous entertainment on the ride home.

Please don't cut your service!!!

And I hope that there are other people here who appreciate the wonderful things that this great city has to offer. :-)

Yis. I agree about the 151. So many weirdos on that bus!! I also heard from one of my sister's friends' that lives here that they feel the 36 bus is the most sketchy of them all. I've never been on that one...

But hello Jessica, what about the 146 and the 144?!! Hehehe.
