First Timers Of This Weekend.
The one thing about living in a big city is all of the "interesting" things that you see. In addition to a lot of diversity, there are some strange people in this city. But all in all its a great city to live in, especially in the summertime. Since its a bit unbearable in the winter time!! Anyway, here is a list of things that I experienced/saw this weekend.
1. 15 year-old girls walking around the Taste of Chicago w/shorts that just covered their butts with bikini tops. When I was 15 I wouldn't have been allowed to leave the house dressed like that. I also don't think that I could even face my parents dressed like that.
2. A woman at the Taste pulling a suitcase on wheels with used paper plates sticking out. And no this woman didn't appear to be homeless. I didn't think it was funny until some guy said "Carrying a suitcase here in this crowd? "Not a very bright thing to do." No kidding!!!
3. A fried twinkie. I can't imagine how long their shelf span is. Ew.
4. A guy going into the small corner at the entrance of my building to light up a pipe. Like a masterpiece theater/grandpa kind of pipe. For some reason that seemed alittle odd to me.
5. This woman who is dressed and PAINTED in red who usually just stands still on top of a box on Michigan Avenue walking around the Taste.
6. 2 people carrying a huge grill that was actually smoking down the street. A busy street may I add. You had to be there....
7. A guy walking a very girly looking maltese type dog. He didn't look thrilled to be doing it either...It must've been his girlfriend's dog.
8. Women with Gucci and Louis Vutton handbags at the Taste. Why would bring your good bag to something where theres thousands of people?? I would NEVER do that!! I've already had a Gucci bag stolen from me at a crowded place. I'd be soo upset if it happened to me again w/my Louie or my other Gucci. Okay I sound really high maintenance, but I LOVE my purses!! :-)
9. A guy eating a banana dipped in chocolate and peanuts on a stick that started to flop down. It looked bad.
10. Guys with fannie packs that had like built in coolers hitting on random girls talking about how cool their fannie packs were. The girls were also eating these HUGE bbq turkey legs that they had at the Taste and were clearly not interested in the guys.
My weekend also pretty much consisted of eating and drinking. I am now exhausted and going to get ready for bed as I watch the fireworks from my window here...
I hope that everyone had a good weekend!
