I don't know if this is what that meant, but if so, then I can relate. That is, I am always the person who tells jokes at a party and people never laugh too much. One day a friend of mine said, "And then you found 5 bucks?" when I finished with my joke. I had never heard that (if you have, sorry for this long comment), but apparently it's something I should start including at the end of my jokes so people find it even slightly amusing. Haha.
